Loch Ness Festival and 100 Miler Volunteers:

We value the role all our volunteers play in the Loch Ness Festival and 100 Miler and have put together some basic information to provide you with all you will need regarding working on the event. Before you sign up as a volunteer, please read through the following information so you have an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of volunteering.

Volunteering at the Loch Ness Festival and 100 Miler requires a special kind of person. It’s important to understand that although it’s a lot of fun and you get to meet and interact with lots of people, it’s a long day out and signing up is a commitment is not to be taken lightly. We rely on our volunteers and it’s a serious responsibility – last minute cancellations will let the team down and could jeopardise the event so it’s not an option unless you have a really valid reason and can help us find a replacement who is equally up top the task.

Please be aware of the expectation that will be placed on you in the role and responsibility that you take on as well as what days and times you need to be where and when. There are various roles we are looking to fill so please make sure you indicate your preference when you sign up:

  • A free entry for your children aged 6 an under, as of the date of the event, into our kids sports events, taking place in the year of you volunteering, at the Loch Ness Festival at Dores Beach.
  • You get the opportunity to spend the day helping runners and cyclists out on the route or at the Race Village
  • You also get an event Crew T-shirt, staff meal and drink vouchers and entry into the Loch Ness Festival.

Where possible we are happy to put you with family, friends or colleagues as a volunteer if the situation allows and you contact us in the regard. We hope to make our volunteering program a special one, one that is rewarding to be part of and that gives you a sense of achievement, pride and community. We ask that you bring a sense of humour and a desire to work hard and give back to the incredible communities that surround Loch Ness.
