The 100 miler and 50 miler races require pre-entry which can be done online at SiEntries:

The other events can be entered on the day.

Gravel bikes are allowed. Modifications to your mountain bike are welcome as long as these modifications are safe for yourself and fellow competitors. Rigid forks and hardtails will do fine, as there is little to no corrugation on the roads. Although there are some tarred sections along the route, a road bike will not be able to handle the rest of the route.

Registration will take place on the Friday before the event on the field next to Dores beach. Please note, registration is compulsory. Do not start your race without going past the registration staff.

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed

2023 will be the first year of the Loch Ness 100 Miler and 50 Miler having taken over from the 2022 Loch Ness Challenge.

The event is organised by GOYA Events Ltd, an Inverness based, Events and Sports Marketing Business with over 20 years of international Experience

The minimum age is 18 for all events – you must be 18 or older on the 31 December 2023.

Only on the second half of the 100 Miler Run Event – they must be registered and entered as a pacer and their entry fee must be paid.

The routes follow the Great Glen Way and South Loch Ness Trail, which combined make up the Loch Ness 360 Trail. We will be using our own Route Markers for the event to ensure a smooth race and so that athletes do not get mixed up with any existing trail markings.

The route is suitable for runners and riders that cannot map read.
GPX Files will be available for both routes before the event.

As soon as we have all land owner and stake holder permissions in place we will add this to the website.

Our Aid Stations will be well stocked with Water, Nutrition and Race Food and Smiles.

No transfers permitted, 50% refund up to 6 weeks prior, no refunds after this time.

Yes – this is possible through the SI Entries system.

Yes as long as you complete the route within cut-off times – there will be no exceptions on the cut-offs.

No, as long as you have done sufficient training for the race distances and terrain.

Event details will be regularly updated on the event website and final updates will be will sent a minimum of 2 weeks prior.

Car parking will be available at Dores for participants and support crews . We wil also have shuttles running to and from Inverness to Dores for the event to minimise traffic flow.

These will be made available to you closer to the time on the website and in your race packs.

Yes, we have restrictions with regards to capacity on the routes so entries will be taken on a first paid first served basis. A waiting list will be put in place once capacity in each event has been reached.

As a green event, we will not be providing plastic cups at the event. Please bring your own, there will be plenty of water stations to fill up.

Yes – kit checks will be carried out and participants without any mandatory items will be withdrawn from the event.

Your event price includes the provision by the organiser of water, food snacks and energy drinks at the event Aid Stations. !00 Miler participants may also bring their own additional nutrition and have a ‘drop box’ delivered to stipulated check points.

Yes you can, but it is your responsibility to be aware of your surroundings, to follow the route markings and take care at road crossings and route intersections.

Race numbers will not be sent in advance, these will be collected at registration on the day.

Yes, there will be an official event photographer and videographer as part of our media team at the event. Your individual images will be available shortly after the event.

Your time will be available as you cross the line and full results available within 24 hours.
